For ten dollars, I got enough food for me and my large, healthy son.

The thing is, I don't have a son.

Before talking about this FOOD. I'm from Jackson,Mississippi born and raised. I have family all over the south(Georgia,Texas,Alabama ,Tennessee, etc) Been to many states outside of the southern area and had soul food. I'm currently staying in Los Angeles now.

Whenever I see a business that has SOUL FOOD ,SOUTHERN CUISINE, Down South Cooking, etc,I  immediately stop or put it on my mind to give them business plus see how it taste. This business was no different.

This was the nastiest soul food I EVER ate. The food was so unseasoned. Fish was terrible and too hard. The food was expensive but wasn't worth $5.00. Everything you order you pay separate. Don't know who came up with that idea. Then, there's a sign that inform you that you'll  pay $5.95 for a side of yams (sign is by the cash register hiding to the side you want see it until it's time to pay) I'm guessing you want know that unless you come often. After paying over $21.00 for a plate I still didn't receive no cornbread/roll or a can drink. (Have to pay separate) What really got me upset was I asked for Hot Sauce and Ketchup. (Nawl mane we ain't got none of that) proceeded to give me 4 packs of tartar sauce. Never Again

You don't have to be from the south to cook soul food or southern cuisine just have to cook with PASSION.

When a customer calls and asks if you have something, please don't say "yes", and when they get there it won't be finished cooking for over an hour.

    Thank you

Not sure why I keep coming back but I try and try to give them a chance...Once again something was left out of my order and I had to drive all the way back to get it...greens are $3.89 a scoop as well as the macaroni....4 chicken wings came to $6.75....2 pieces of fish $5.00....smh...I could have made it at home...
    $28.00 total...

Stopped here to grab lunch because I was in the area. Staff was very friendly. Picked a plate of greens, Mac n cheese, fried chicken thigh and corn bread muffin. Very generous portions. Food was delicious, didn't come close to finishing it.
Was recommended the lemon cake and it did not disappoint.
